Common questions

Is Community really free forever?
Yes. The core PRECC hook, all built-in skills, RTK compression, and jj translation are free for the community and will remain free. We make money on Pro and Enterprise, not by degrading the free tier.
What does "machine-bound HMAC licence key" mean?
Your Pro licence is cryptographically bound to your machine ID. This prevents sharing and ensures your savings reports reflect your actual usage. You can transfer to a new machine by contacting support.
How is Pro priced?
Pro is $5 for 6 months or $10 for a full year — simple flat pricing, no monthly billing surprises.
Do I need to change my Claude Code setup?
No. Run PRECC init once and the hook is registered automatically. Your existing Claude Code sessions and config are untouched. You can unregister at any time with PRECC uninstall.
Can PRECC break my workflow?
No. PRECC has a hard fail-open guarantee: if the hook errors for any reason, it exits with code 0 and the original command runs unchanged. Claude Code is never blocked, delayed, or interrupted.
